It’s only Week 3 of the NFL, but are Las Vegas Raiders fans already turning on their team’s head coach, Antonio Pierce, after a disastrous performance?
To call the 2024 season a roller coaster this early would be describing it nicely. Quite frankly, the Raiders have been all over the place—they lost in their second home at SoFi Stadium but then upset the Baltimore Ravens. Then, they go on to lose to arguably the worst team in the league at this juncture of the season, the Carolina Panthers. However, it’s deeper than that; it’s more about how the team lost. Ultimately, the coaching staff will bear the brunt; that’s the inherent nature of the situation.
Who are Raiders fans blaming for this embarrassing loss?

Is Antonio Pierce in over his head? Raiders fans weigh in…
Raider Nation, for its part, will never hold back in its sentiments. This is especially true following a loss; however, this particular loss was experienced in a unique way. If you’re Pierce, you can’t call out the fanbase to show up and then fall flat on your face when they do.
As you can imagine, there’s already a sentiment brewing among many Raiders fans that “coach AP” needs to go. Yes, it’s only social media; that’s true. However, you could argue that it was a wave of support from a large sect within Raider Nation and the players themselves (which is key) that led to Pierce’s retention.
So, who’s going to ask AP what he could do better to fix this issue with #Raiders players not bought all the way into the program after vouching for him all offseason?

Antonio Pierce REFUSES to let Zamir White get a goal line carry. I hate that bald headed idiot lmao

I don’t know what Antonio Pierce and the coaching staff told the players this week, but they definitely didn’t take the Panthers seriously

I think it’s time for Mark Davis to make some business decisions. Fire Tom Telesco, Antonio Pierce and Luke Getsy. You get blown out at home for your home opener to the worst team in the NFL. Fire everyone.

Uh oh. He is about to “lose the locker room.”
Turning on the players is a bad move, especially 3 games in.
He was a terrible choice for head coach.
I wish I wasn’t right all along about AP, but here we are.

I was stunned when all the emotionally stunted players and fans wanted AP over Harbaugh.
This is the result of going with emotion over logic. If you have to bring in 10 babysitters for your head coach, you don’t have a head coach.

The NFL is a brutal business sometimes. One day, you’re the chosen one; the next, you’re a scapegoat. Everyone has a long season ahead of them, but you have to wonder if Pierce will make any changes.
